He says there are 50000 people live in 7 kilometre circle of my farm and they eat thrice a day. No one in this world can best food at an affordable competitive price than me. He plans his cultivation in such a manner that he gets harvest every day and people buy from his farm and he sends three carts full of fresh vegetables and fruits to the villages in the vicinity of 7 kilometre area of his farm and earn handsome amount every day.
Establishment of Farm
Suresh Goyal of Village Talwandi Rukka Hisar Haryana bought 7.5 Acre of land and by year 2016 he convinced his relatives and neighborhood farmers and added 11.5 Acres on share cropping pattern in which he promised Rs.25000 fixed annual income and additional dividend on profits.

Weed Management
Suresh Goyal follows manual mechanical weeding at his farm. He says for one small plot he spends Rs.1200 and if the same plot is sprayed which chemical then cost comes around Rs.800. But he adopts manual weeding because he says Rs.1200 is paid to one family who is involved in weeding activities. If I follow chemical spray then Rs.500 will be gone to the chemical company in Mumbai and labourer will earn only Rs.300. Now Rs. 1200 are going to my village and purchase power of my labourers is increasing. They are more attached to my farm. In addition to this I saved my land from pollution of harsh weedicides and I get biomass to which I convert in to good compost. This adds to my marketing strategy also as everyone who visit my farm and ask about weed management I show them my composting unit and they get convinced. I don’t require any certification for Organic as all of my customers know about my cultivation practices.
Rat Management
Suresh Goyal brought few white rats and provided them a bricked shelter in his farm and started feeding them Choorma. Rats multiplied very fast and they dug long bores in the fields from their bricked shelter and started roaming in the fields. The black rats migrated from his fields. White rats don’t make any damage in the field as they receive good food every day in their bricked shelter. He has never used any poisoned material for killing of rats in his fields.
Pest Management
Suresh Goyal says he knew from his elders that black crow is a pest eater. If large number of crows are invited to the farm then pest management can be done easily. He started feeding Matar a local fried snack daily on rooftop in his farm at fixed time in the evening around 4 PM. Which attracted black crows and large number of crows comes from all directions to his farm daily. They start coming around 3:30 PM and sits on trees. They relish the fried snacks and feed the caterpillars and other visible pets in the farm. Suresh Goyal says he spends Rs.100 per day for inviting the crows and this model is highly successful as it saves the pesticides prevents chemical pollution in the fields.
Herbal and Medicated Salt
Suresh Goyal says in India no one keeps the money of salt so starting a salt business is safe. He developed a recipe of making herbal medicated salt, which is processed round the year and gives employment to 12 ladies. He has given opportunity to those ladies who are either widow or had no earning source for their families.

He has setup a small processing area on his farm where he stores the material and keeps on adding the stocks as harvests are done. He also purchases some items from the market and stores them. The slat is sold in Hisar and many people give orders from different cities. He received a big order from Australia and America too. He says 12 families of distressed ladies are dependent on this herbal and medicated salt business. He acts as custodian to the processes and supply chain for ensuring quality and logistics. This business has opened a revenue line which pays round year and adds to the income of the farm.

Marketing Model
Suresh Goyal says before establishing his farm he made a survey in local area and calculated that there are around 2000 families in 5 villages and almost 50000 people lives in these families. He targeted to achieve 10% of the market size and decided to make 200 families their customers. This target was achieved in first year of the cultivation. He sells daily vegetable and fruits of value Rs.60/Family. Daily Rs.12000/- is generated from this sale and daily expense of farm is around Rs.7000/- and Rs.5000 is excess over expenditure.

He says I am successful as my customers are always happy and fully satisfied.
